You're memory is dead-on, Jason. My older sis skated at the Broadmoor for years. My parents used to drive her to Colorado Springs and back on the regular. I'm pretty sure they had some Olympic-track skating program there for awhile but then it dried up. Older sis moved to South Suburban Skating Rink where I regularly dominated their Street Fighter II video game while awful skating mothers ruined their children's lives. I think Anna went off to Cape Cod after that. After the Broadmoor closed up shop.

I remember that shit too. My mom and I bought a 2 liter. I tried to pretend to like it (I was like seven or something and couldn't admit immediately that the gimmick was a gimmick). A couple weeks later when most of the 2 liter was still in the bottle, my mom dumped it out and I think that's around the same time it disappeared from shelves.

The stuff I had planned on typing is not that uninteresting above paragraph, but this: Wasn't it Colorado Springs that super badass ice skaters were supposed to train? AM I wrong? I just remember there was some important place at the Broadmoor that even had a hall of fame or something. There was one day I remember that my mom, my grandma and I couldn't go feed the ducks at the Broadmoor lake because there were like 8 giant buses with some ugly-ass ice skating graphics on the side of them and the road to go near the little lake was blocked. Grandma and I were gonna rent a paddle boat and throw bread to ducks. What I'm getting at here is...... Cape Cod, not CO Springs?
